Guild Wars 2

No idea if this the right place to ask but I recently sent my buddy 6 gold to help him with his crafting. The message had a joke in the title and so he deleted it without looking at the 6gold attached. He can still see the mail but the gold is grayed out, and I have not received the gold back. Is the gold lost or will it be returned eventually?

You can’t delete mail that still has an item attached, the button should be greyed out until they “take all.”
