I just bought the Desert Rose Skin from the Trading Post and I was utterly confused on how to equip it. I read the warning three times and didn’t understand it. I’m still new to this game (I got the game a week ago) and I still don’t understand everything. In my confusion to try to “transmute” an item, I couldn’t. I then thought “Well, my only choice is to select the other option”, which was the PvP. Now, it’s stuck on PvP.

1) Is there any way to reverse this?

2) Can someone explain to me about transmutations and back item skins?

Hi Ona, Transmutation in gw2 means swapping the looks and stats of an item with another, for example.. lets say you had a Berserkers back item, you could transmute to have the look of the Desert Rose and still keep the stats of the Berserker back item.

Sadly once an item has been converted to a PvP item thats it, its only use is for PvP in the heart of the mists.

That said, it might be worth contacting the customer support and ask if they could revert the item back to PvE.
