Q:
Difference NPC and PC
The NPCs are the ones who basically never move tactically while in combat, and thus get destroyed without much effort.
Or to be less mean, players typically have names that are a bit more “blue” than green when you click on them, whereas NPCs will always be green when you click on them
How’d that work out for us so far?
Now let’s try some ideas that will really work.
The color of their name. NPC’s are green, Players are more of a teal/blue.
Also if you click on them players will have a profession symbol next to their portrait and probably a guild name below their name, whereas NPCs just have a name, portrait and maybe some skills in grey below their health bar.
But generally you can tell by the way they move and act. NPCs will be much more ‘mechanical’, they follow paths exactly and generally walk rather than running outside of battle. In combat they don’t dodge or move as much (at least as much as players should) and will use fairly simple tactics. They don’t move around when they don’t need to and I don’t think they ever jump.
Also all NPCs have lore appropriate names so that can be a hint sometimes.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
you wouldnt happen to be on the tarnished coast server would you op?
especially in divinities reach it can be quite confusing haha
One good hint is that you can see a PC name even if they are off to the side and not being moused over, but NPC names show up only if targeted or mouse highlighted.
