There will be spoilers for the personal story Victory or Death in this thread.

I’m currently seething after two and a half hour play of the level 80 personal story. It’d taken me a while to play through this as it’s my first character and I wasn’t using walkthroughs. I’d gotten to the part where your character has to kill Zhaitan, and he had about 10% health left. I was so happy to be finished with this. I got hit by one of his tendrils and died. I wasn’t too fussed, as I just wanted to move on and get to the HoT storyline.

However, after my character loaded up and I went to the anvil, my game disconnected. There was an error message about some sort of internet problem, but I have very fast and efficient internet, and I do not think that it was my internet. This has never happened before.

I’d learned before that you have to start over when reloading an instance, and now I’m really angry.

Is there perhaps some sort of checkpoint system? Something that saves your place halfway through the game so you can return? If there isn’t I think there should be, it could be useful.

I just want to respond saying I experienced this as well and I have literally quit the game over it.

I don’t want to do any other story without finishing the main one but I cannot get through this instance without disconnecting, it’s impossible. And the mission is like 2 hours long so… good luck when you disconnect every 30 minutes.

I don’t have disconnect problems any other time. The game is literally uncompletable.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I am furiously frustrated after spending two straight days trying to do this mission.
