Dislike all professions?
Hmm, could you give some details on your preferred playstyle? What bored you about warrior and the other classes? What kind of role do you like to play?
Also, a lot of classes are unimpressive in the early levels (especially ele and mesmer), especially when coming from a full level 80.

I am feeling the same way. I have an 80 mesmer, 80 warrior, 80 necro, 80 engineer, 74 elementalist, 52 thief and 31 ranger.
None of the classes are really doing anything for me. The skill trees are all very similar in how the do stuff or how you build your class. I kind of miss being a “tank” or a “healer” or a “DPS”.
I think the game is just feeling stale to me already. I played wow for 7 years and it always had something that would bring me back (I have to draw a line at pandas though). SWTOR was no better than this game. I kind of miss warhammer frankly but no community.
I am starting to think the days of MMORPG’s are over. No one seems to be able to make a well rounded, polished entertaining game with lasting power anymore.
…or maybe you’ve just outgrown MMOs? It does happen. And while GW2 aims to please a large audience, you can never please everyone. I for one love not having to be either DPS or tank or healer.
Maybe you just need to take a break? That usually helps me when GW2 is starting to bore me (because, let’s face it, every game does that after a while – I need a diversion every now and then).
I agree with you and Raideen. I’ve tried almost all characters except for guard and necro. I have an 80 ranger, 80 thief, 80 ele, and lower level warrior and engineer.
I think the thing that is making me not like any is that everybody can do anything. I miss having a specialization like in other games where a healer would heal, support would give boons, DPS would do damage, tanks would take damage, etc.
In theory the concept is great, be any class you want and do whatever you want. However in practice I just feel mundane and “bleh”.
On the bright side, a d/d ele is very fast paced and requires a good amount of thinking. As of right now that is what I’m liking.

(This is not directed at you, Ethics. I’m just addressing the idea on a whole.)
Personally, I don’t understand why people feel gw2 lacks specialization. If players stat build themselves into a variation on “deals damage”, that’s the decision of those players, not a fault of the game at large. Nor does the capacity to take on various roles blatantly homogenize the experience. Damage dealers who include this or that support ability into their kit hardly showcase the extent of specialization. It’s entirely possible to build characters that heal, enable, disable, tank, and even deal damage at the loss of all prior mentioned utility as their entire specialty.
It’s true that the game expects every character to deal damage (no pure healers), and does not include manageable aggro tables (no pure tanks), and if you’ve never played in a party with teammates who have adopted those roles you might have difficulty realizing that it does make a significant difference to the battle dynamics. These roles do exist, and they are incredibly helpful to have around. If players avoid them purely because they aren’t forced into inclusion, then I blame their absence on laziness.

There are tons of games that allow you to be tank, healer or dps. This is one of the very few that stepped out of that mode.
I don’t miss class specialization at all. Where the success or failure of a party depended on having a tank or healer. Its not for everybody though…but there is no subscription fee either. So go play one of the other games for awhile. We’ll still be here when/if you come back.

NP Pinder. I didn’t take it personally. To be honest I can’t really explain why I feel that why. As I said I think it sounds great in theory, but when I actually start playing it just bores me. I guess I’m stuck with the min/maxing mind set of almost all other games where you pump everything into 1 stat or maybe 2, and just go full out. I haven’t really found a role yet in GW2 that I like. In most other games I’m either a healer or an archer. Since healers are out (I tried water ele but a dedicated healer just doesn’t work). Rangers are pretty broken and I’m not a huge fan of the pet.
Sorry I got side tracked. I loved GW1 because your character was set and you had roles. I guess I feel unimportant in GW2 because anybody can do my job. My ranger is doing almost exactly what the warrior next to be is doing with a slight twist. (<— vague general statement, please nobody respond with ranger skills/traits vs a warrior lol)
Have you tried playing healer as a Guardian or an Engineer? I’ve played as and with healing dedicated Guardians and the result is excellent. Surprisingly, Engineer can pull it off with some finesse as well. Not quite so effortlessly as the guardian, mind you, but it’s certainly possible. The issue with healing oriented Elementalists stems from their design to utilize all four attunement trees during each battle, which creates an immediate barrier to focal purpose, such as pure healing. That, and they have a shortage of healing-oriented utilities. One of those hopeful situations that never quite followed through to reality.
As for archery, I’m a big fan of both Warrior Longbow and Thief Shortbow. I don’t have much pithy advice to give on the subject, but if the ranger isn’t your thing, perhaps you should check out those avenues as well.
Ty Pinder, I’ve pretty much settled on my ele as my main and dabble with my ranger when JP promises some amazing update that just seems meh =).
Guardian is one I have yet to play (mainly because I only have 5 slots). I think I’m not feeling healer because most of the end game stuff here is all about dodging/preventing OHK. I tried to use the #5 sbow on my ranger to interrupt a lot but bosses seem to shrug it off. But after saying that I might have to try out guardian like you said, as I might be defaulted into just giving people aegis/protection etc.
Right now I like sharing my boons and auras though on my ele… possibly a shout/banner warrior. idk, too many possibilities lol
