I recently returned to the game after a break of over a year as I would like to finish my Legendary. I earned over 1,500 Badges of Honor before WvW ranks were introduced, but I just went to purchase my Gift of Battle and the vendor tells me I don’t have enough WvW rank.

Really??!!

I earned enough Badges to get the gift three times over if I had bought it previously but now it is inaccessible until rank 14?

Is there anything I can do or am I screwed?

Just run Edge of the Mists and rank up in no time.

Getting to rank 14 is very quick, especially in the new Edge of the Mists map.

I was able to get to rank 40 in about 2 weeks back during Season 1 (when it was required for one of the achievements), playing just a couple of hours a night.

If you’re making a legendary I would suggest saving your laurels (they’re good for getting crafting materials) and running around EOTM for a bit. You get ok drops as well, I usually make about 1g an hour, so that might also help a bit.
