Guild Wars 2

Question says it all. Does it work with windows 8? Are there issues if it does?

I need to know asap as I just build a brand new desktop and have windows 8 ready to go. Help!

Windows 8 works fine with me. I see absolutely no difference from going from 7 to 8 in my experience. If you are upgrading solely for that reason, you might be disappointed. What really matters is a good processor. This game is for what ever reason, a lot tougher on the CPU then the GPU.

Also, just a little side tip, look into getting Classic Shell if you want to retain the old start menu. Windows 8’s new start menu is incredibly inefficient…

TSW with an nVidia card trying to use DX11? Sadly, not so much. Best I can gather from the forums, it’s not nVidia or Funcom’s fault. It’s my fault, for wanting it to work like it was working before I upgraded. I should be considered lucky to get to play it DX9 as an acceptable work around.

But it works great with GW2 and everything else I have played thus far.

I’ve run GW2 on Windows 8 since GW2 was in beta and Windows 8 was still a dev preview. I’ve yet to have a single issue.

I haven’t had any issues with it on windows 8.

My install was originally done on windows 7 though, I’ve just kept it on another hard drive.
