Does magic find work for this?
Magic find only influences drops from foes. Not from containers (like plants).
B ut magic find will have 0 influence or even a negative influence on the drop of un-id dyes.
The reason is that those drops are of basic quality (white).
Magic find increases the change off getting an item of a rarer quality (blue, green, yellow, orange). So that means that where you with 0 magic find would have a change of 99% of getting a white item and 1% to get something better, with 100% magic find that is 98% (so lesser white quality).
However cause only a small percentage off the white quality items are un-id dyes, the effect will not be noticable.
So statistically, magic find has no positive effect and a slight change of a slight negative effect of the drop rate of dyes.

Funny you should mention that, I just got two or three dyes from icebrood mobs in the last half hour, and my mf was at almost 200%

Do we need to define RNG for you? ^^
To quote myself: ‘So statistically’
Statistically there is a chance of 0.00000001% I got ran over by a bus today. But if it really happen it wouldn’t be a chance anymore.

I always have the feeling that dyes drop in phases. I can play a month and nearly get no dye at all, and then suddenly there are some days where i get 1-2 dyes each hour or so for a while.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
