I noticed that 5th guardian shield (Shield of Absorption) spell effect depends on character size. I tried it as smallest asura, tallest asura and human. Screens in attachments

But 2nd skill (Symbol of Saith) doesn’t seems to depend on size. I tried only as different height of asura, but i assume when there was noticeable difference in 5th skill. The difference in 2nd skill should be visible too.

I also noticed that 4th spell (Shield of Judgment) effect looks like it depends on size too.

I might be only visual, but when there is obvious difference in visual effect there could be in actual hit detection too.

So i wonder which spell depends on character size and which don’t, if it is only visual and if it isn’t is there any counter balance to this? For example smaller hitbox.

PS:
I did this only with these skills so only these could be affected and i don’t know how other races and professions are affected.

I don’t think so, there shouldn’t be any different between the race in that matter.. but you could take it up with Anet.

I noticed something similar. When i use elementalist Healing Rain spell and at the edge (still in aoe) i use Arcane wave, combo don’t trigger even though i am in the circle. Happend to me several times.

Yeah this is how it is, the animation scales to the character’s size, but the effective range doesn’t change.

What I would be really curious to know is if the “target reticle” for an AOE spell scales with toon size? It should be the same or you aren’t going to know if something is truly going to hit, if it does scale that certainly would need to be fixed.
