Does anyone know why that download before your download starts to download, but then goes goes to 0kbs/sec and just stops all together? Sometimes I just restart the program, but now it’s just so painful, and keeps doing it.

There was this problem a while ago, and I forget what I did to fix this. Can anyone help me?

I usually just let it sit for a while and eventually it kicks in and downloads it properly. I usually only see it when I download a patch at a peak time when tons of people are downloading, though, so if you’re seeing it more often then I’m not sure what the deal is with that.

I wish that worked. I took a shower, and still nothing.

Whenever it’s happened to me one of these three fixes it:

1) Close it down and open it again

2) Check who else in my house is using the internet and whether they’re likely to be using a lot of bandwidth. Argue with them over who should have priority and then either wait until they’re done or get them to stop so my download can finish.

3) Check the bandwidth monitor thingy on the computer. I think this is something that came with my motherboards software, so not something all computers will have but it works with my BT Hub to list everything that’s currently connected to the internet and lets me assign them priority or disable them completely. If it’s something randomly updating itself in the background (Spotify, Antivirus software and Windows are common culprits) I can set it to low priority or disable it temporarily to let the download finish.
