Q:
~We Are Deadly When Required~
Q:
The drop rate seems to be really really low these couple of days. Use to be pretty good last week.
Any 1 have the same problem?
I felt it was lower if I went back to a much lower level zone that i had already explored.
But same level zones seem to drop reasonably well until you do them too many times.
I read somewhere that this is an anti farming/botting measure.
I think it was put in when people started farming that event in Orr that has you lure risen to an NPC so she can fight them. Well, if you instead just farm the horde you could get limitless xp and items. But I know from experience that after so many kills they just stop dropping items, wasn’t this way in the beginning though.
Cursed Shore item drops are horrendous. I don’t mean just gear, but everything. I farmed for two hours today and got about what I get in Forstgorge Sound in 30 minutes. I run 128% MF at all times, the drop rates in Cursed Shore are just horrible.
For me I have been farming the centurs in w3. Pretty good xp and drop rate. These couple of days drop rate reduce to almost nothing . Any suggestion ?
Feels higher tonight and then a new update just came out as I was getting great loot, wonder what this patch does o.0
About a 100mb update
loot rate decreasing Ninja patch?.
The reason your Loot drops are slowly Getting harder and harder is because of the Dreadful Anti bot methods they have.
The basic of anti bot is to stop botters from makeing much money.
If you spend to long in 1 area killing the same unit for a long period of time then the chances of getting loot is very low
Entirely not true, just change maps and farm something else for a while.
I’ve tested this and it seems (i’ll call it) IT remembers what area you farmed for a prolonged period of time and doesn’t reduce the drop penalty until some requirements are met (time spent in another zone, time spent offline, number of monsters in another zone or a different area in the same zone, all of these seem to effect drop rate reduction).
I call this genious not dreadful. Having all players in easy to farm spots is dreadful for the game. I feel that if they had publicly announced this to non-GW1 players there wouldn’t be so much whining about it on the forums.
With the dungeon changes, this works even better.
