We Teach How We Want [Noob] is a guild for everyone who wants to learn doing dungeons or fractals, improve gameplay level in PvE or get ready for hardcore guilds.
every skill level is accepted as long as you truly have the willingness to learn.
You don’t have to represent the guild!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
To join as a student, you have to leave a post below, or PM me here or mail in-game.
PMs in-game can be easily overlooked so they aren’t recommended.
Remember to include your region (NA/EU), if it isn’t changed just mail me in-game.
Then you have to read the mentor list (available here in this thread) and choose a mentor for yourself. UPDATE: REMEMBER TO CHECK GUILD ROSTER IF THE MENTOR YOU WANT TO CONTACT IS STILL ACTIVE (“LAST ONLINE” SECTION)
Mail him/her in-game and enjoy*!
* if you experience any bad behavior from a mentor or doubt their teaching skills, let us know.

1. Class Mentors - answers all questions about a class, helps you optimize your dps, rotations, gear and traits.
2. FotM Mentors - answers all questions about Fractals of the Mist, leads you through the fractals, shows you optimal tactics, pug tactics if required, etc.
5. Other dungeon Mentors - answers all questions about specific dungeons, leads you through the paths, shows you optimal tactics, pug tactics if required, etc.
6. Raid theory Mentors - answers all questions about specific raids, wings, party composition, might take you for a run (not a promise, it depends on mentor)
If you’re interested in being a mentor, write to the leader (Sublimatio.6981) via forum PM or in game. Unless you’re from a known speedclear guild, you’ll have to be trialed.
A lot of bad players asked to become mentors so if you don’t know everything about your class or you are not able to solo in dungeons and you don’t even know boss mechanics, please don’t apply for mentor rank.

- Raid theory mentors are now active
- Looking for raid & revenant mentors, if possible members of high-end pve guilds. Also need more rangers, necros, EU guardians, EU mesmers and EU eles.
I’d like to join as a student. North American server. My elementalist just hit 80, and I’m seeking to do lots of dungeons. I’ve done story on most of the dungeons (except the level 80 ones)

I’d like to join as a student (EU server). I play a lvl 80 elementalist and a lvl 80 ranger. I have no experience with dungeons or fractals so far, so i would like to learn
I’m not exactly new to dungeons having played my share of them pre-HoT (low man Arah and such). Post-HoT I’m mostly doing Fractals and Raids. Would love to join to get my skills up even higher.
Hi guys, I can help with AC and TA except for aether path.
I can also help with other dungeons but I don’t know them by heart.
If it would be possible, I would love to join TA aetherpath to finish all those harder achievements.

Sorry but from what you’re saying it isn’t likely that you fit for mentor rank, mentors have to be really experienced and confident in everything they teach, as many students want to polish their skills to high-end pve level. That being said, you are of course very welcome as a student and good luck finding aetherpath run
I have no idea why this thread has been moved to “looking for”, then moved here again and unsticked. This guild is still alive and I’m adding new mentors and students actively, also raid mentors have been introduced recently
joaosequeira.2184 and Mortifer.2946 are at max guilds, otherwise invites are up-to-date
Maybe the thread title should be changed from just dungeon mentoring? It may have been removed by a mod who came through for clean up. Could title the thread as Dungeons, Fractals & Raids Mentoring to match the sub-forum :P
The title is good, it was never an issue even after dungeon nerf. My guess is someone wasn’t professional and probably messed with the thread without looking at it, or something like that. I had it sticked by Gaile 19 days ago when I created it (and I had to because I couldn’t manage the old one, due to original post rights belonging to someone who isn’t a leader and a mature person anymore).
Hi! I’d like to join as a student, I’m on the NA server. I currently play an Elementalist. Haven’t had much experience with dungeons and would like to learn!
Extremely casual player here, still learning the ropes of the game. Finally got level 80 after a year or two of playing (I had a long off period at one point) on my first character and I’m trying to figure out the end game. I’m figuring everything out, but I still do not understand a lot of the end game stuff so if this will get frustrating, you can pass on me.
I play a thief, N/A, usually on after 6 pm CST during the week and weekends are a hit or miss.

Sounds like a great idea for a guild. I’ve been getting into my warrior and a couple other classes I’m working on and want to complete dungeon master achievement.
It seems PUGs for a dungeon group are much harder to find nowadays but the content is still fun to me. I’m on N/A EST, usually on in the afternoon and evenings.
I’d also like to join. I just reached 80 a couple of days myself. I really want to try doing fractals but I’m too scared join any lfg groups. I used to raid in WoW so I might know a thing or two about not standing on fire or dodging hits, well of course this is a totally different game but you get the idea. Thanks in advance! My friend and I, (My friend is Tyler.5312) would like to enroll as students, because we have never stepped into a dungeon. We’re both on the NA server Fort Aspenwood.
I’m a level 80 thief with full exotic zerker’s armor and daggers, and I tend to use double daggers but I switch around a lot as well. I’m missing exotic jewelry and a pistol, sword, and shortbow, but I’m working on it. I also have the funds to buy different armor if needed.
My friend Tyler.5312 is a level 80 warrior almost done the main story line. He’s collected a few exotic soldier’s pieces and likes using a great sword.
I’m not sure if all of this is tmi, but uh… yeah we’d like to join.

Hello – I would like to join as a student. I have only solo’d content to 80 without any dungeon runs, but would like to learn how to run Fractals. I have both an 80 Necro and an 80 Ranger. I just reached 80 a couple of weeks ago and have been finishing the story (main and HoT). I am on the NA server. Thanks!
Hello! I would definitely appreciate joining as a student. I have mainly played by myself (with some random guild help in between) to complete the main storyline with a Necro and move into HoT content. Since being a little overwhelmed with everything, I went back to Core and created an Ele who is about Lvl 25-ish. I am on the NA server and would love any help that could be given. Thanks!

Yeah basically better to write here and have one of mentors inviting you since i’m not actively playing the game for like 4 months already :S though i log in for check ups regularly (still not everyday)
I would like to apply as a student. I played GW2 at launch for probably a year and then real life sort of took over. I have 1 level 80 but never got too far into the high level content. I am just now getting back into the game and trying to learn all the new systems. I would love to have a group of people to play with that just enjoy the game and are willing to help others.

I would love to join: I played extensively before HoT-Release and soloed pretty much all dungeons out here, but quit right after Addon-Release and started again because of the new quarter patch.
Would love to get back to my old Niveau and meta again, dungeons and fractals (where i basically know boss mechanics tho im a bit rosty) and raids (completely new)
Classes i got (asc) are: Berserker, Chrono and Daredevil, where i wanna specialize in all three very much. Im on EU.
I would like to be a student. I’m on the NA server, play a ranger/druid, been attempting to figure out as much as I can on my own by research and random stupid questions. Got a decent handle on the ranger (I think) but at a loss when it comes to the celestial avatar. I also need to work on dungeons so I don’t feel like I’m bumbling around.

I’m a new GW2 player, i recently bought HoT and got a lvl 80 upgrade with the latter patch. I play a Necromancer, i don’t have the Reaper specialization yet (because i don’t have enough character points). I stick to a build I found on the internet (condi damage), and i have tested it in the Silverwastes, but that’s all my GW2 experience.
I have never done any dungeon because i couldn’t find partners (and I don’t have irl friend playing the game…), i searched on the Internet for guides/advises/communities, and i found this post on the forum. Another thing, i don’t know anything about Guilds (yes, you can call me a noob…), but I’d really like to learn more about the game (I enjoy it more and more as I discover things), so here I am.
Can I join the guild as a student ? That would be great !
And I’ll just add a few more details : I’m European, from France, but i don’t mind speaking English at all. And i don’t have a lot of free time to play (it’s mostly concentrated on week ends and holidays), but i learn quite quickly (at least i hope so -_-) and can search for/read anything on the Internet (i already do that).
