Afternoon all, after swearing I would not play another MMO game for many reasons, I have found myself pleasantly surprised to this point. As a result of starting late in comparison to others, I have done little pre research since Friday of last week it was basically, ok I’ll give it a shot. Prior to that, never even looked into it. That being said, I was wondering if someone could give me some basic information of pve dungeons, levels at which they start etc. And how they are accessed. I have only seen 1 entrance to this point in the game and I believe that was a level 40 instanced situation.

Please excuse the terminology I may be using from being trained in other MMO’s ie dungeons if that is not correct. I did browse through the forum area regarding this, but did not see a basic layout of where, when etc they can be accessed:).

Thanks for any help or direction to the right location to read up myself:)

I’ve only been in the first two so far. Ascalon Catacombs is in the Charr starting zone and Caudecus Manor is in the human starting zone. I’m. Not sure but I think you just need to be in a party and walk right in. AC is for level 30 and up in story mode and CM is for level 40.

Another important thing to know about dungeons is that there are two modes you can do them in. The first is story mode, which is the easier of the two and is designed to allow the dungeon to be completed without too much preparation.

After you’ve done the story mode version, you can start running the explorable mode. Every dungeon has three explorable arcs, which are very different from the story arc you would have run first. Explorable is also considerably harder than story, but also yields better rewards, such as tokens for armor sets that can only be acquired in specific dungeons (one unique armor set per dungeon). Explorable dungeons are also the only place you can find certain materials used in high end crafting recipes.

I was level 42 when my smaller guild asked me along for AC explorable. They were 80, 78, 56, and 44.

It was tough as balls, but we pulled it off within 2 hours. Super fun and rewarding when you finally figure it out. Hated the RNG on the burrow spawns, though. Breeder = wipe/death
