Guild Wars 2

There has to be a better way to get groups to do story modes. So I turn to here to hope to get answers or help. I tried setting up a dungeon run in my small guild who expresses interest in doing yet we have not done it yet two weeks later. See below for my bad experience trying to get a PUG. I want to do the story modes as I come to them based on level of content. To me it is about how I experience the content even though we get down-scaled. I ended up out leveling the content from over crafting. So I am compensating that by only using SPts, TPts, and gear relative to the level of the content I’m at. Which is currently low level 30s. And the first dungeon story mode. Since I had already done the personal story quest that introduces Destiny’s Edge. It is the next logical thing to do for me before moving on.

So I went to LA as someone mentioned best to go there to group. I said LF AC story two times and got suppressed. I left like two minutes between. I even tried varying the message a few minutes later after I couldn’t say anything at all in chat, not even to converse with others, as anything I said was suppressed for several minutes or more. Then when I could say one or two things I’d get suppressed again after. I got frustrated when after being suppressed for only saying one LF and something else. Then try again a few minutes later to have to wait like 5+ minutes to be able to say anything again. After 45 minutes with basically only one LF every more than 5 minutes and no responses; I thought perhaps I’d try the zone the dungeon is in. I went there was able to say LF once. I tried to say something else it got suppressed and over 10 minutes later I could still say nothing at all as it was all getting suppressed. So I got even more frustrated and logged out to do something else.

Hey Jia Shen. May I ask what server you are on? I’ll see if I can get some friends to help you with dungeons. The message suppression is a real pain most times, even when I’m just generally answering a lot of questions in map chat. Normally the better way is to talk in front of the dungeon entrance maybe you’ll have better luck?

As again I could get some people you could group up with. If you’re on Gunnar’s Hold or Aurora Glade I can definitely help with that. If you’re on AG feel free to add me and we could do a dungeon maybe tomorrow.

I guess I should have included the server: Fort Aspenwood. We can group cross server as I understand from reading but has to be done a certain way or something because of a problem or whatnot. I did sit out in front of the entrance for longer than 15 minutes and only saw people from one group who came out looking to replace someone for whatever reason. Also after this one, if my guild is still in limbo on dungeons, I’ll be looking to do the next one after 2-3 play sessions when I reach that levels content. I typically play 2-3 times a week.

Server does not matter for dungeons, you can run with people from other servers already, just party up and head in. (I believe you have to be in the same region though (NA/EU))

Ah yes that was the problem I was referring too. So as long as we are all in NA we can do a dungeons together. So with that perhaps if we all are available we could have a go at it tomorrow night (oct 20 eastern time)? Say 7 or 8pm?

I’m on an EU server however I might be able to ask some American buddies for you. They’re always willing to help. Just go to Op: Union thread and ask there.
