The price keeps going up. Finally when i think i might be able to afford it, it shoots up more. should i just spend 500g on rares and MF it? or what. took me literally forever to get 500g. i dont see me wanting or trying to make 200g more. what do you think i should do?

I think u should wait until they add another ways to get precusors. I heard someone saying they think of adding precursors for Archivment points, duno how true it is but the precursor “problem” it was there for a long time, they are looking for another ways to implement to complete our legendarys.

I think you should earn 200g and buy it because you will probably spend your 500g on the forge, get nothing, and need to earn 700g instead of 200g.

Throw things into the mystic forge. I use dungeon reward exotics which are essentially free and I can sell the failures for 1-4 gold. I’m making good money from the dungeon runs and now from trying to get the precursor, money which I’ll need for the other gifts haha.

Earn your legendary! Buying the precursor takes the sense of accomplishment out of it.

ty ty, thats the kind of thing i wanted to hear. some type of response. do you know if they have said anything else anywhere? reading between the lines i believe SOMETHING will come soon.

What is needed is another event like “Lost Shores” where at the end there was a much much higher chance for ppl to get precursors from the chest at the end.

I think rare drops are rare drops at the fact that everyone seems to think they’re entitled to buy them rather than just hope for them is odd, but that’s just me.

I understand that people take legendaries as a goal on their GW2 checklist, but if a weapon is meant to be extremely rare, it shouldn’t be something everyone can just pick up at their leisure, in my opinion.

It should be rare, but there should still be a clear path to it. If grinding out 700 gold is acceptable, then it should also be acceptable to make it available for tokens or a complicated crafting process or anything that takes a reasonably long time to accomplish. It wouldn’t necessarily be faster but it would be less frustrating.

Don’t buy it. Dusk is just a first step to crafting legendary and you’ll need even more gold.

Wait so dont buy it?? And i agree legendaries should be rare yes. They should be LEGENDARY. RNG isnt legendary. thats like, a guy winning a lottery, so legendary. I want it to be obtainable without spending half the cost of the actual cost of the legendary. Thats ridiculous. There shouild be a professional boss, or 1v1 dung mosnter, or some crazy task or quest line you can work on with your friends that is ‘long and hard’ (like my d) that you eventually complete. Not just sit in Cof all day and boom legendary. or get lucky in the MF boom legendary.
