If i have a ‘x’ color on one of my characters, will that color be transfered over to all the other characters after the patch? putting it simply, the now revealed and character-bound colors will be account bound as well after the patch, or that only applies for the colors you use after 15th April?

I thought it was the first case, but then i re-read something on the ‘patch notes’ that made me think that i was just assuming too much since they said that if you happened to have the same color on 2characters you would get a unindified dye.

if you have bronze dyes on 3 of your 8 characters now
after the patch you will have 1 bronze dye for all 8 of your characters and you get 2 unidentified dyes for the 2 bronze dyes you have as duplicates.

Yes you’ll be able to use it on all your characters.

And if 2 (or more) characters have the same dye you’ll get an unidentified dye for each duplicate.

For example lets say you have 8 characters and one of them has abyss dye, 2 of them have afternoon dye and 4 have blurple dye.

After the update on the 15th all 8 characters will have abyss, afternoon and humiliation (along with any other colours you’ve got) and you will receive 4 unidentified dyes – 1 for a duplicate afternoon and 3 for duplicate blurples.

If you then get a new dye which you haven’t had before you will be able to use it and it will unlock on all your characters. If you get a dye you’ve already unlocked you won’t be able to use it (but can sell it).

It just sucks if you have multiple abyss/celestial/midnights/other rare dyes, because now all that money you spent after the first just made you the proud owner of the most expensive common dyes in the game!

Oh, that’s what i thought, thanks guys! If that’s the case i’ll use those dyes that i have 2+ of the same color so i can get a unidentified one after the patch, luckly it could turn out to be a color i still don’t have

Indeed it is a sad situation. Fortunately i never was ‘dye addicted’ and saved all the dyes to open until now, but i know that quite a few people spent a good amount of gold trying to unlock certain colors on one (or more) of their characters ;x
