Guild Wars 2

Well I am kind of new to GW and just got to level 80. I was wondering how I can earn some gold by either grinding or else crafting. I heard a lot of people saying that you have to sell your mats for gold. Are there any other possibilities of making money apart from that?

the simplest is to do dungeons or world bosses.
Silverwastes (the new map in the far west) is new and exciting and gives good gold.
Anything else becomes complicated / unreliable / hard to describe
