I’m just curious about the following things; what’s the cheaper way to get crystalline dusts?

buying a stack of ectos and hope for a lot?

farm world boss events,. salvage the yellows, salvage the ecto. Though it is certainly slower than the previous two methods, it’s also way cheaper.

I suggest you buy ectos then salvage them. That way you get luck essences and you kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Farm world events for ectos (salvaging rares) and/or buy ectos and salvage them. I salvaged +/-50 ectos to finish up my Gift of Energy and my luck went up by a pretty healthy amount just with that alone. I plan to do the same with the remaining 500 Piles of Crystalline dust I need for Bifrost and look forward to seeing how much my luck goes up.

I totally get ya. My mouse has yet to still forgive me for 500+ clicks the last time I salvaged for Piles of Crystalline Dust (I found out about the refinement after, LOL!). I’m hoping my poor mouse will forgive me during my next go with Crystalline Dust salvages if I do a little luck essence refinement with my Artificer.

Cracking Ectos for T6 dust yield about 1.7-1.8 dust (in my experience) per Ecto on average using a master salvage kit (no idea if quality of the kit matters). Right now Ectos are priced higher than what it costs for that much dust so it’s cheaper to buy dust directly than salvaging from ectos. However you also get Luck now.

I rather like salvaging ectos for some extra dust, mainly because you get a large amount of essence of luck from them too. Much more essences than salvaging a bag full of blues and greens.

That said, dust is probably cheaper if that’s all you care about.
