Which of these 2 professions is more efficient in a 1v1 scenario?

And will the answer change based on the incoming balance patch in March?

I’d say Engineer is better at disorientation/has more builds that work in 1v1 than Ele. Hopefully more people give input, but as far as I’ve faced in PvP, only one ele has really caused me trouble because of constant stuns and kd’s.

Since they’ve given so little details about the balance patch that is hard to answer.

Right now, condition spam tank engineer > all.

After the patch, who knows.

1v1 – Engineer (mesmer top)
sPvP – Engineer (Necro top)
tPvP – Engineer (Guardian top)
WvW Zerg – Elementalist (Warrior top)
WvW Solo roaming – Elementalist (Thief/Mesmer w/ 25% speed boost top)
WvW Team roaming – Engineer, but really either (top depends on team makeup and objectives)

This is all ‘imo’ but i’m sure many would agree.

I agree with most. But WvW Zerg is more of a balance between different profession. If i had to pick one, i would say Guardian. At least in my guild. Warrior come close second to form the back bone of the raid.
