Guild Wars 2

Hello!
Im playing this game for two weeks and created several chars for test purpose, anyway, now i cant decide between two clases – mesmer and elementalist.
im interested in specific these builds:

Must admit i enjoy more elementalist, then again, mesmer ir pretty eeem OP?
Major idea is that elementalist use glyps and enchant weapons, focuses on heal and crit, while mesmer is focused on DOT.

I would like to see any experienced player who could tell wich one is more effective in late game, since im feeling that i cant go both (free time limitation).

Both challenging to play, both have fairly different play style and ‘feel’.
Ele can give a ton more damage than mesmer though. Mesmer cannot be hit easily if played right.
Myself I love them both since they are a lot of fun.

I also love both professions.
In my opinion those builds are bad.
Elementalist is very mobile and damage heavy while Mesmer is AoE(Area of Effect) and sustained damage.

really up to you which you like, both are fine end game.

Well if you like the idea of a Chronomancer, that appears to be the Mesmer specialization when HoT comes out.

TBH though, the most important thing is that you enjoy the character.

I, myself, prefer mesmer. Also, if you like jumping puzzles, portals are very useful for them, which are on mesmer. Though, they don’t have a constant speed boost like eles for exploration (and some help with jumping puzzles). portals are also very handy in PvP when used correctly. I find mesmer have a lot of flexibility and a lot of utility (group stealth, group quickness, even moa is utility).
