I’ve been working on my elementalist and he’s almost 80, I guess this is a bit late but id just like some feedback on my setup.
I haven’t hit 80 yet but I have already gotten exotic armor for him, it is all soldiers (karma) and ill soon have the weapons (daggers) for him which will most likely be soldiers as well. Is this good to have? Also what trinkets do you recommend?

Also I’m planning on uses runes if water and monk to max out my boon duration, but I was also thinking of just using all water for a lot if healing, which should I get?

A big concern I have it my character type. My ele is a male nord, but he’s the biggest size. Everytime I see another ele they’re an asura or a humans, usually a smaller model. Is it bad that my model is huge? And if possible, a way to string him…. Lol

Any advice is appreciated, and a comparison to having a knights/valkrie build would also be nice

Nothing wrong with being large aside from more difficulty in jumping puzzles and being annoying to everyone you stand near :p

I’ve heard valkyrie is pretty good especially if you use sigil of intelligence and boon duration is likely to give you much more support than +healing, specially if you have aurasharing build.

Ok, I’ll go for boon duration. What kind of trinkets should I get? Valkrie? I was also maybe thinking since I have a lot of vitality+toughness from my armor I can get some berserker trinkets.

I have the full Dwayna karma set on my Elementalist with a combination of Knight, Cleric and Valkyrie trinkets. Works very well for me.

I’m a fan of Soldier gear for my ele. I also know someone who prefers vitality/healing over vitality/toughness, but it is harder to find good armor combos with these.

If you’re going to spec heavily in healing it’s better to get toughness over vitality. The more HP you’ve got, the weaker your heals become (healing less % of your total HP).

I think the counter to that is that toughness pulls more agro. I like vit/toughness myself.
