Hi there,

I was wondering how this item can be obtained after the changes HoT brought us.

Is it a random drop from the chest you get for completing Daily Fractal Journeyman/Master acheivements? Can you get it from Encryptions? Does it drop from the reward chests at the end of fractals above lvl x?

Given the low drop rate on the tonic (even pre-HoT), I’m sure it’s too soon to say from where it drops with any certainty. Regardless, ANet is changing the reward structure in early December, so that might be a good time to ask again.

If I didn’t know better i’d say the tonic is removed from the loot table.. oh wait.. i don’t know better…

Ohwell.. i got mine pre-HoT and to be perfectly honest its not like anyone deserves to loot this tonic with this new system. Do the 3 easiest fractals out of half of them to get it? Fractals of the mists isnt NEARLY as hard as it should be. Did i say fractals? I meant swamplands of the mists ;p

But now for a real answer: i know tons of people doing fractals everyday and none of them have seen anyone drop the tonic since HoT. Which is normal given its extreme dropchance. So either its removed or still as rare or even rarer as before

The tonic still exists. It can drop from at least the Veteran and Champion daily chests. Quite rare, though, but that’s no different than before.
