Hello,

I’m pretty new to the game, so i need help on choosing a crafting disciple to match Leatherworker on my engineer. I had chosen Jeweler, but most of the people i know in game told me that it is useless because you can get Jewels easily at 80, is that true? In this case, is a good idea to change Jeweler with Huntsman? Thank you in advance.

Mine’s my Weaponsmith….it doesn’t really matter.

Not that Ascended Trinkets (LVL 80 Best in Slot Jewelry) has a time gated component that most likely won’t be an issue if only outfitting a few characters, but what are you going to wear while levelng? You can spend gold (BL Trading Post) or karma to obtain some and your Story Missions give you some as well, but Jewelry never drops. I guess the point that there is no END GAME reason to have a Jeweler at this point, but I suspect they WILL eventually introduce Jewelry and Cooking to 500 at some point.

There is nothing wrong with making a Mule character that you use to only craft and store stuff…..there are options so you aren’t limited to picking 2 crafts.

You can also expand active crafting disciplines to four via the gem store. Applies to all characters on the account.

Also, you can switch to another, thus “retiring” one of the active disciplines. Then if you want to switch back, just has a cost. Not something you’d want to do all the time, but the option is there.
