Engineer or Necromancer?
we showing off our weapons? I might have missed that part the whole time I am playing my necro
Anyways, I think nobody can help you with that. It depends on your play style and what you like to do most. We can tell you the pro’s and con’s of Engineer and Necromancer but that still won’t give you the experience.
My recommendation would be that you take both chars into the mist and gear em up, play around with them and see what you like best. Try some different builds or even read up on em, watch some youtube videos or whatever you want to do, to get a feeling for the classes itself. Then decide which class is the one you would enjoy playing the most in the long run.
I run with a small havoc team in WvW and when we encounter another roaming party we always target the necro first since they can seriously mess you up.
We don’t engage solo roaming engi’s since those critters are darn near indestructible and will just harass you to death and keep you in combat forever.
It would depend on whether you plan to Wv a lot, or just enough for the legendary requirements, or to PvP. Necro is better in PvP than in PvE, by a long shot. Conditions in PvE are a ticket to limited effectiveness unless solo, and engineers have better power build options imo.
I find necromancer to be boring and one dimensional. Whether you build for power or conditions, you’re basically going to be using the same few skills all the time. I find with an engineer I can get a lot more variety in my play, regardless of build. This means I can better adapt to different situations. Ommv.
. So I have been having this dilemma between my level 48 Asura necromancer and my level 80 Asura engineer. I can’t seem to pick which one I will be maining, meaning getting map completion and eventually a legendary. My only thing is they are both fun and I can’t decide on one. I find engineer just a little bit more fun but I also really like to show off my weapon, which is what necromancers do (plus legendaries seem less valuable on engineers).
