Guild Wars 2

There are people out there who have better looking equipment and armor out there and they are lower levels then me. How do I get those things? I am barely a level 7 Charr Warrior and I see another person with a level 2 with awesome looking armor. They can even kill monsters and don’t lose much health compared to a level 7. I keep struggling and it is starting to make me unlike this game every time. I can’t even find other people to help out to gain Karma points. Any ideas or tips?

They have other toons which have unlocked skins which they use through the wardrobe function in the hero panel.

The difference in combat is probably the result of bloodlust stacks and power runes, and lots of experience playing the game so they know how to hit without being hit. In time you will probably have no trouble doing the same, so stick with it.

As much as I dislike it, what class you play does make a difference too. For example, a warrior will generally burn through mobs alot more easily than a mesmer at low levels. And some classes don’t really hit their stride until later in the game; my engineer felt horrible until I got the bomb kit and flamethrower. Maybe your class just doesn’t fit your play style?

Also, try to look for a good guild. There’s a lot of guilds out there that will actively try and help newer players.

• The skins will be because they are not new and are using their skins from the wardrobe as said above.
• Your second point is possibly that they are level 80, down levelled to 7. Their stats are brought down, but they still have better gear, traits and weapons. OR possibly as noted above, they are a warrior, and you’re anything else.

Yes if you’re in a level 2 area all level 80 characters are downleveled to 2 and when you click on them it says their level is 2 (I think there is a downwards pointing arrow next to it to show they’re downleveled but I’m not entirely sure at the moment).
