Guild Wars 2

For the past few days anytime I try to use the Trading Post either in the field posting an item for sale or actually at the Trading Post NPC this message pops up in the Trading Post field regardless of which tab I click. The only thing it did let me do was collect some coin I made from past sales before this error started occuring. Now though I can neither post new sales, purchase or even browse items on the TP.

I know they had some issues getting the TP functionality perfected for mass use but I thought that had all been straightened out. Are they still having issues with it and this is just a resulting issue that will be fixed soon or do I have a unique problem here? Is anyone else experiencing this or have in the past and maybe have a fix?

Any help would be very much appreciated and Thank you in advance for the assistance.

Hmm this probably wont help but can you check your internet explorer settings and make sure cookies are enabled? I know it gives that message when you try to goto the trading post URL without a valid cookie ID generated by the game, so maybe somehow your games “browser” is unable to save that cookie because of your internet explorer settings? Worth a shot lol

This happened to me as well. Try running the game as Admin, worked for me.

Okay, thanks for the tips guys. I will give those a shot.

One question though:

The only way I know to change my cookie settings is through the browser. Would that only effect the browser’s settings or will it include the game’s as well? Or is there another way to change the cookie settings you’re speaking of that I don’t know about? (I’m not too tech savvy, I can install and operate the basic hard / soft-ware but that’s about the extent)

Ah, thank you. I went there and they were already enabled. I dropped an in-game ticket with a screenie, not sure if they respond to those by e-mail the same as they do with those filed through Customer Support but I guess I’ll see in a few days. Not a big issue so I’m not expecting lightning fast service but maybe I’m not the only one having this issue and it’ll get ninja fixed soon.

P.S Also set the short-cut .exe to automatically run as admin, doesn’t seem to have effected it either. Ah well they’ve been patching almost nightly, maybe I’ll be surprised by one heh.

LOL! I just checked again, literally seconds after my last post and it’s working now! Heh, maybe it was the “Run as Admin” or maybe it was loading and reloading the TP to get the cookie resent or something. Good to know if anyone else I know has this problem. Thanks again all!
