Now that you can only loot event chests once per day, i was wondering if the lockout resets 24 hrs after you last looted a specific chest? Or does it reset at a specific time, if so when?

Good question. I hope its at the same time the server resets your dailys. If its reset at 24 hours I find it makes it annoying as your constantly getting a bit later and later at night until you have to miss

Indeed. I have started taking note of what character has done what event, and while noting down the time aswell doesnt seem to be much of a hassle, its gonna be a bit much to keep organised in the long run.

Just did Maw and got chest loot. Seeing as the patch has been live for less then 24 hrs and i did maw last night, it seems to reset at the same time as dailies (maw atleast).

Its not 1 chest a day its 1 chest a day per character so as long as your characters have the area you should be good on getting the chests all day .

Its not 1 chest a day its 1 chest a day per character so as long as your characters have the area you should be good on getting the chests all day .

I am well aware, and as stated in the OP i was wondereing when the reset occured.

Thank you! Finally somebody understands. That’s one of my big complaints about games that have “3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours” respawns. Nobody ever understands my point. Why not make it 2hr50min, 5hr50min, 11hr45min, etc.

Mini-rant aside, I really hope it’s along with server reset as well. It would definitely be a lot more convenient.

From my playtime, It’s 1 chest per day (daily reset) per character. I did Maw on my alt 20 mins before daily reset and after reset, did maw again and got the chest again.

The chests in the PvE world reset at the daily reset. The WvW chests (from jumping puzzles) are on a 24 hour timer per character.

Related, but not completely on topic (sorry), does anyone have a good resource that lists all the events that ‘has’ a chest like this at the end?

I used to mostly just do Claw in Frostgorge (because I like the zone and that event), but now faced with moving around, other than the other 2 dragons, I wasn’t really sure what options there were throughout the world (besides Maw, I know that one too).

I found this, but it doesn’t really specify the ‘once a day’ big chests. Drilling into ‘meta events’ didn’t clear anything up for me.

Thanks. I guess what I was looking for was a source for events that all ended in a big chest. All I know are the 3 dragons are Maw. Oh…and the one in Harathi. And I seem to recall there was one in the north/northwest corner of Fireheart in a camp?

Figured there might be listed in the wiki, but I’m Google-impaired. Not to the point where I type in ‘skydiving’ to find information on gardening, but for some reason whatever words and phrases I choose to pair up produces more noise than insight.

I just did Tequatl after reset and got no chest, so either his chest is different or I encountered a bug or idk what.
