I just got back from kicking my party out of the Explorable Ascalonian Catacombs when I realized there are many things players are not informed about without first hand experience through normal play.

In my case, I learned that if one party member leaves the dungeon he drags everyone else out with him. The worst part is that the rest of my party was right outside the final bosses room when I decided to leave.

So the main idea of this thread is for veteran players as well as fresh recruits to share secrets and tips about the game not explicitly outlined.

It isn’t any party member leaving that produces that effect, it’s the one who first entered, and thus “owns” the instance.

Also, as to dungeons, if the character who creates and thus “owns” the explorable dungeon instance, the other members of the party need not have completed the story mode of that dungeon to participate.

If you form a party in a Lions Arch overflow that includes players from another server, you can all enter the same dungeon instance as long as you are all in the correct zone (e.g., Plains of Ashford for AC, Lions Arch for Fractals).

yea someone did that on hotw story after we beat the final boss just before we got the dungeon finish thing …..

you need to be on the same server/overflow for fractals.
