Q:
Exotic Back piece
A:
Why farm for exotic if you can farm for ascended? :P Do fractals until you get a “vial of condensed mists essence” to drop. Then farm loads of rare items and craft your own back piece in the mystic forge.
On the wiki page of the vial of condensed mists essence is an overview of back pieces that need this ingredient, with a comparison of stats:

The stats you want are on
Quiver of Swift Flight: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Quiver_of_Swift_Flight
Book of Secrets: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Book_of_Secrets

I tip my hat to thee Sir.
I had not thought about that one yet.
Thanks for the helpful and speedy response. Exactly what I needed
Well, how about those of us who do not want to go to Fractals at all, if possible. Or those of us who really are not favourites of RNG?
Is there anything even in existance that is better than the green back item from Personal Story?
If there is, where should one hunt for it?

There are quite a lot of rare lvl80 back items on the trade post at the moment, for about 2 silver each (prices are low because they can’t be salvaged). They are called “something spineguard”, like Soldier’s Spineguard.
