I recently hit level 80 and I want to improve my current gear. I heard from some guildmates that the best armor in the game are exotics. Could someone please tell my how I can get excotics and what the fastest/easiest way is.

Exotic is merely a new for the rarity and colour. Cause the rarer the armor is, the better the stats are and exotics are the most rare, the level 80 versions are the best.

Although the change to get it is very low, you can get them as drops, but also as a reward for map completion. They also drop from chests.

A max level crafter can craft exotics.
by repeating dungeons in explorable mode you can get exotic armor and weapons.
Tier 3 cultural armor and weapons are always exotic.
Last of all the looks. If you don’t fancy a specifick look you can get exotic armor and weapons from the tradepost for less then 10 gold (make sure it is always for level 80).
