what is the best way to upgrade everything to exotic?

Well I can tell you what I did when I dinged 80 on my first toon.

Armor from crafting, weapons from tp/drop.

But I guess the fastest would be to buy all from tp (expensive for a beginner) or run dungeons (time consuming but cheap)

Crafting/buying will set you back, correct me if I’m wrong, close to 18436943 gold. But seriously, dungeons are the way to go. Look through the vendors in Lions Arch and find a set of stats that you like, and start running it. Doing all 3 paths a day you can pull in 180 tokens (assuming you don’t have an alt to use.) So yes it will take a little while but you’re essentially getting free exotics and making good gold along the way.

Doing Ascalonian Catacombs is a good way to get you started. You can do it as early as lvl 35 and start gathering up tokens for when you hit Lv80.

There is no reason not to have enough gold to buy what you need off the TP, or buy the mats to craft, by the time you hit 80.

Earning gold is so easy in this game if you have a decent salvage/vendor plan and don’t waste gold buying kit or cosmetic crap while leveling. Just use what drops until lvl 60-70. Then buy only blues, if you need something, until you hit 80.

No need to run dungeons either, unless you want to.

For my warrior alt I only used his money to gear him up (I do this for all my alts) I did dungeons to make money and bought the crafting materials I needed when he hit 80. It was far far cheaper and more cost effective to craft his gear (armor and weapons) than buy it off the TP. The exotic chestpiece was a little over 4 gold on the TP, it cost a little about 1.5 gold to craft. Really the expesive part is the t6 mats and ectos. Orichalcum and gossamer really isnt bad. I made sure to clear the upper level zones to get the good rewards for completion which helped fund and supply mats for his gear. I used nothing above green items while leveling.

Spending karma and the temple vendors is another way to get exotic armors. 250,000 karma will get you a full set. Of course that about 36 completed dailys
