I just hit 80, and was surprised to see that I still had an experience bar. But I am on my third pass at completing the bar, and I’ve not noticed any perks when I max the thing out.

Is there any advantage to getting “experience” points after you hit 80?

Indeed, you continue to accumulate skill points, which you can spend at the Mystic Forge.

I believe you are awarded a skill point every time you complete the bar.

I guess that it’s time to start crafting. That and dungeons are aspects of the game I have completely ignored. r

I expected a skill point, but I thought it would show up in my character’s traits. I guess I don’t really know what skill points are; I’ll read the documentation.

D’oh! Skill points are what you get for the chevron thingies.

The skill points are those you used to unlock healing skills, utility skills and elites.
