Explorer Achievements
Explorer achievement and map completions are two different things. You get the Explorer achievement for ‘discovering’ all of the areas which are named in white on the maps. Map completion is achieved through the discovery of all poi’s, way points, skill points and hearts.
So it is possible to have not discovered an area named in white – try checking your maps against this list.

Edit: One of the common ones missed for the Krytan explorer is the 2nd discocvery of the Order of Whispers headquarters in Bloodtide Coast, triggered when you enter the headquarters via the Asura gate from Fort Trinity in the Straits of Devastation.

Thanks for the pointer to that wiki and the differnces between map completions and place names
I done the one you noted above and it made no difference.
Ok, shame it wasn’t that one but at least now you know. Another one that gets missed a lot is Hidden Ourobon in Harathi Hinterlands http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hidden_Ourobon
But, at the end of the day it might be easier for you to open your world map (wherever you are standing, you don’t have to revisit each area in order to check) and zoom in until the area names in white show up and then start checking them off the list on the link I posted before – map by map for Kryta. On the Bluestone lists the area names are always listed as if read from the top of each map in the order they appear.
Good luck, you will find the missing one so an early congrats on getting your Krytan Achievement

Thank you, yes it seems I will have to go through the list of places and tick them off.
Maybe late response but do you already have this one? I checked the list 4 times still missing a area..
Is the area thats only available through the personal story a option? Maybe I’ve missed that one and I will never get it??

Do you have Aurora’s Remains in Brisban Wildlands? It’s in the bottom left corner.
When i was doing explorer I missed Beggar’s Burrow in Queensdale. It’s just next to Divinity Reach, north of Lake Delavan.
I missed it since entrance is not big, there is no pois etc in area and it’s hard to see that this area is missed and can be unlocked if you simply use map.

Another way to do this more visually is to simply compare your map with the wiki version of the map. The wiki version has all the areas explored and this might be easier as compared to checking names off a list.
