Guild Wars 2

I have 100% on Kryta, Orr and Ascalon but 163 of 165 on Maguuma and 170 of 172 in Shiverpeaks.
It driving me mad! I have been around the edge of each of the zones located in those regions but cant seem to find it for love nor money!
Anyone know of a way to tell which parts i haven’t uncovered?

Would the locations of the JP count towards this?

My best guess is that you are missing something underground.

But yes im guessing is its underground somewhere too :/

look for Aurora in Brisban. Cubefell in mount maaelstorm. Griffonrook Run in Lornar’s pass.

EDIT I was missing only 1 in shiverpeaks, can’t help there sry
also you can compare zones on the wiki with yours, That’s how I did it

From game type in chat /wiki Zones. Will take you right there

There’s also Calx’s Hideout in the SE corner of Metrica Province that can only be accessed through DE’s (Parnna’s Gate).

The three faction HQ’s have a POI also.

i was stuck on 163/165 for a while in Maguuma too, the 2 i was missing was
Cubular Fells in the NW of Mount Maelstrom
Shimmerstone Cave in Sparkfly fen

2 other easily missable ones are
Calx’s Hideout in SE corner of Metrica Province (as Valshia says, need to do Parma’s Gate Dynamic Event)
and Aurora Remains in Brisbane Wildlands (can access it just north of Toxal Bog SP)

Yeah, you want to make sure you have done all the jumping puzzles in the various areas as well.

That site does not show the white name labels on the map that are required for the explorer achievements.

No, aside from the three you need to get a vista or skill point. Those three are Tribulation Scaffolding, Wall Breach Blitz, and Vizier’s Tower.

The star and the two Gifts of Exploration come from completing the vistas, hearts, points of interest, waypoints, and skill challenges on every PvE map, the six major cities, the four WvW maps, and the Chantry of Secrets.

The achievements are from opening up areas (the white names). The only jumping puzzle you must do to open up a name is Morgan’s Spiral, and at least step into Dark Reverie after it. Several of the jumping puzzles have their name open up and count for the achievements, but you just need to step into their areas (some you can just walk near).

I think you mean Dreamdark Enclave, it must have been called Dark Reverie in a beta or something because both names exist in the wiki but the in game map says Dreamdark Enclave.

Dark Reverie is the name of the jumping puzzle achievement.

Ah yes so do the Morgan’s Spiral puzzle to get to the Dark Reverie Puzzle to reveal the Dreamdark Enclave area.

You can reveal that area without doing the puzzle btw. I had not done it on my ranger when I went to have a look and it was already revealed on my rangers map.

I haven’t done MS either… had enough of trying to get that one in the Beta!!! lol to be honest i think i have done 4 JP though i do intend to get them all at come point

I already post on another thread. ok here’s my problem… I can’t get the Orr Explorer achievement 59/60… If i go to Cursed Shore, Malchor’s Leap and Straits of Devastation I got 100% map complete… How is this possible? Did I miss something?

its most prob that you havent discovered a small area. This is the issues i had so i used this link http://gw2cartographers.com/ as posted above to compaire maps

gw2cartographers.com does not have the names needed to get the explorer achievements. Your best option is the maps on the wiki, or the text list of areas for ones that are reasonably complete.

For Orr, the most commonly missed ones tend to be The Artesian Waters (if you haven’t done the near-end story mission), and Desmina’s Hallows, both in Cursed Shore.

Other miss-able ones include Malchor’s Fingers (Malchor’s Leap) and Sea of Elon (Straights).

Exposing the map names is a different part. There are several areas that have no vistas, hearts, points of interest, skill points, and waypoints, but will “unfog” an area of the map and show up as a white name.

It’s the white name that counts for the area achievements. Malchor’s Fingers, Artesian Waters, and several other areas in the game (Tail of the Serpent, Demongrub Caverns, Shaman’s Rookery for example) do not have any map completion elements, but do count for the area achievement.

Missing an area in Maguuma – 166/167. I have gotten the Calx’s Hideout. And Aurora’s Remains. I have earned Been there Done That" so, not missing vistas, WPs or PoIs. Anyone have any ideas on what I could be missing? Thank you!

UPDATE – had to approach Proxemics Lab – it is a guild instance, but counted just to approach the door. It is North West in Brisban. WP is contested but the one above – Gallowfields. Go south, and it is just in the inlet near the WP past the guild instance marker.
