This is probably just me being stupid, but I’m confused: the way I read the announcements of the new skill system was that a level 80 character with 100% world completion (or all the skill/hero challenges at least) would have exactly enough hero points to unlock all their skills and traits.

But my level 80 ranger with 100% world completion, has all the skills and traits unlocked and 214 extra hero points.

Have I missed something? Is it because the skills that were unlocked automatically were free?

No they changed it so now you only have to be 80 to unlock all the core specilizations.

The others you will use for thr elite specilization that come in hot and more of them further down the line

Before it was lvl 80 +65 skill point challenges out of 189 never was 100% map complete

Ah, so it was me being stupid.

That’s good to know, especially because it means I don’t have to worry about having insufficient hero points to unlock everything on my other characters.
