Can anybody tell me if you can still transmute faction gear (vigil, priory, order) and exchange it between characters in the bank? I know you could do this when the game first came out, because the gear would mistakenly be account bound even though it said soulbound. But, they’ve had time to patch this out by now, and I’m really hoping they haven’t, anybody know for sure? Anybody done this recently?
I want to try this, but that’s a huge waste of gold if I buy the gear and then can’t transmute it.
Okay, after finding dozens of conflicting sources I just wound up trying it, found out that it has not been patched out, and got the gear I wanted. Why can’t anybody in this forum shutup if they don’t know what they’re talking about? Seriously, I asked specifically for someone that had tried it, if you don’t there’s nothing wrong with saying “I don’t know” it’s not like anybody would think less of you for it.
But anyway, the question has been answered… well sort of.
I’d like to point out that although I am actually sorry that I turned out to be incorrect in this instance, that nobody is perfect, and that in a game where things have obviously wavered between broken and fixed what we “know” can change.

That’s alright, sorry if I seemed harsh, but really that’s kind of why I asked specifically for someone that had done it, because I could have just asked on the in game chat in any area and likely would have received dozens of opinions and people who had heard one way or another. I even put in a lot of research myself trying to find someone who had tried it within the last patch. With no results.
But either way, now we know, I guess the only way to know was by trial and since I was the one that wanted to know it had to be me. :P Hopefully when they patch this out (if they do, they’ve already had the chance when they patched this out of cultural armor) it’ll be in the patch notes.
