Guild Wars 2

I need a hand in picking an class, farming only. The set will be Power/Condition/ and ofc MF.

Ive readed some topics around saying that guardian/warrior should be the best ones, but i want a class that is best for farming while condition dmg.

Ive tought about the necro with 2daggers and staff, but im not sure, what do you guys think, is also thief a good option for farming?

i’d say depends what you want to farm. i’m assuming it’s Orr farming so you’d want a class with strong and quick AoE capabilities. i personally love my Guardian for farming. but since you want to focus on condition dmg, it’s probs not the best choice at this moment.

this is based on what i’ve heard from others, the thief has a decent AoE that can tag and you’ve great mobility as well.

personally i use my necro with axe/dagger and staff though mostly dont need the staff

works fine with your minions (if you can ignore them standing around doing nothing on occasion)

axe i prefer in main hand over dagger for skills 2 and 3, and also the distance factor

I have a glass cannon build thief also, and its great for fast kills but too squishy for farming easily in the level 75-80 zones, hence i prefer my necro

Personally, even though it seems like you dont want to go this route, warrior is the best class to farm with.

All rare mf gear with power, precision and MF. I use the 2 exotice Orrian MF axes with the luck sigils inside. Reasons being:

Power precision kills things way faster the cd.

Axe/Axe has 3 great farming utilities. 3 can give you range to get a hit on a far away enemy about to die. 2 is amazing for grouped up enemies and 5 is best of all when you have to move and slice at the same time.

If you farm alone you will kill things faster.

If you go down and lose your luck boost, you only have to kill 13 enemies to refill it because you have 1 sigil per hand.

Also the warrior has swiftness buffs in skills.

In my opinion its the only way to go. With full mf gear, food and the guild boost I drop on average 3-5 rares per plinx run. As well as crafting mats up the wazoo. I have to carry multiple salvage kits to make it thru one run.

Guardian can be a good choice since it can survive while burning enemies.
I’m not so familiar with the warrior class.

I read that thieves, due to stealth, posses some great farming abilities.

If you’re just running from node to node then Elementalist’s ability to always have swiftness is hard to beat.

almost all bots use ranger with bear pet, i think its for a reason so i would suggest ranger for farming

Bots use rangers because they have more survivability.

A condition spec is NOT what you want to use if you want to farm Orr events for loot. You want a DD class like a GS or Axe warrior, a GS guardian, grenade engineer, etc.

You need to do a LOT of damage really fast. Conditions are too slow.

Ele aint bad. Staff or S/D / D/D has mountains of AOE. Not to mention heals for those NPC’s who cant learn to dodge things, and ofc when you need to travel, well, RTL and perma swiftness has you covered.

However, that’s mainly for farming in Orr, which tons of people. If you plan to farm monsters solo/unpopulated area’s, id suggest warrior probably.
