Hi everyone,

As I’m not a veteran of GW2 I did hear a couple of people talk about farming in frostgorge? I actually don’t even have that area discovered yet so before I go there and spend time getting it discovered, I wanted to know if this area is the “go to” area for people nowadays for farming serious gold? A guild friend told me he got 40 gold in a day or so (6 to 7 hours) of farming. Is this possible? And is this the area? My character is level 80 and I haven’t had him level 80 for very long so most spots aren’t discovers yet and I’m still learning the game, but I wanted to know a good way to make some nice cash.

I would just do the clockwork invasion instead if I was u. Each invasion is 40 minutes and during that 40 min. it’s non stop action. Killing mobs after mobs of minions, molten alliance and pirates. U will get tons of loots. Im at 650 golds as of right now just from farming the invasions. I pretty much sell everything. The invasion happens every hour, if u look to the right of your screen you should see an indication that says clockwork invasions, that will tell you where to go every hour by the hour. Invasion might happened on some maps that u haven’t explore it but u can always walk there and dicover it.

Before the invasions started, the 2 main champ farming locations were Cursed Shore and Frostgorge Sound. There were zergs doing both of these maps.

Since the invasion up-date, the focus shifted to what IVIUIEI explained.

The high gold return from dong these requires on a lot of waypoint travel. If you have not explored these maps, you will find doing the champs in Cursed Shore and Frostgorge less rewarding until you discover all the waypoints beng used in the rotation. The same applies to the invasion events over the 13 maps where they occur.

Frostgorge can be reached fairly early by nearly any character since it connects to the NE corner of Wayfarer Foothills (the Norn starter zone). the Norn area seems to be a bit of an anomoly in this as a LVL 40+ zone also directly connects to Hoelbrak (the Norn City). Note that Frostgorge IS a +70 LVL zone and it is not recommended for sightseeing by low levels.

You have to progress the personal story pretty far before you get easy access to Cursed Shore or the other Orr zones but you CAN travel there directly overland whenever you want to try it. Head South from Hoelbrak thru Dredgehaunt Cliffs and just keep heading South…..
