Farming for legendary
Hello guys,
Now i already have: dawn… and 77 mistic clover.
So i’m almost at 1% of craft process XD
I would say you have WAAAY more than 1%.
The T6 you can get with laurels, upgrading T5 and directly with gold.
You’ll also need the Dungeon tokens, which while you do that you also get gold that can be converted into more T6.
Believe me, after you get the precursor the rest is easy.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Dont try farming t6, farm gold to buy t6 off the TP
You’re 99% of the way there because you have Dawn
Carpboy is correct. As with everything. Farm gold and buy T6 off the TP.

Oh well!
thank you all for fast answer! i’ll see what i can do, i’m already in a good place with dungeon tokens (about 2k tokens per dungeon) and already got some 250 stack of t5…
For t6 mats, use laurels. Really really helpful with laurels there ^^
Also don’t try (as stated above) to farm them directly. Try to do dungeons on a daily basis and use the gold for t6 mats while using the ectos from tokens of CoF etc to actually make more Mystic clovers.
Even though you have enough, they can give a significant amount of t6 mats without actually having to spend money.

My suggested order of things to get:
1) Gift of Battle + Bloodstone Shard + Gift of Exploration
2) Mystic Clover
3) Gift of Mastery
4) Precursor + 100 Icy Runestone
5) Gift of Legendary
6) Gift of Magic + Gift of Might + Gift of Fortune
7) Legendary
It costs 2,132g to buy everything you need to make sunrise, Dawn was 850 of that, and Mystic Clovers are 83g. So 43.76% of the way there :P likely more, as the clovers would of given you T6 mats for gifts of might and magic (and now I want to play heroes of might and magic…), but then there’s exploration, which is hard to quantify :P I will guesstimate you are 85% of the way done.

There are some nice spots in Frostgorge, Southsun and Orr you can farm T6 to a relative standard at.
But my suggestion is to just work overtime, gems to gold in a minimum wage job is 60g/hr.

People have to buy food, clothes, pay bills and stuff too ya know. Many also have lives outside of work and videogames so working overtime isn’t an option

People can spend 3 hours a night farming in a game which bores them to death, but overtime is sacrilege? If a player wants something and bores themself farming gold to do it, they may aswell get a decent amount of gold FOR boring themselves. Change those 3 hours of boring activity a night to 1 hour of overtime you wouldn’t usually work, get MORE gold for it AND save 2 hours to do fun activities.
Its win win win win all around for every party.
Of course, this all goes out the window if someone makes in game money in a method they enjoy. But the majorities don’t seem to have fun making their gold.

just a question – why does he need dungeon tokens?
I mean, I collected them in order to buy staves I can throw in the forge hoping to get The legend.
but after he got dawn, why does he need tokens?
for ectos?

Every legendary has a specific gift required to make that legendary ie. gift of twilight, gift of lightning, etc. you need 500 of a specifics dungeon token to make that gift.

I know, so after i got the gift of zaithan, I don’t “need” anymore tokens?

Nope
try farming T6 in Curse Shore is pretty good. you also should keep farming dungeon even after you have the required gift, you can use the token you earn to buy rares and savage to ecto to get more gold

You don’t need dungeon tokens directly no. But still, dungeon token is a big part of the Gold per hour you can get from dungeon. If you are lucky enough to get some of the most profitable dungeon recipe you can make good money out of that. Otherwise, CoF, CoE and HotW token can be use to get rare that you can salvage for ectos, which are needed for your legendary (or are simply a good source of money). The other dungeon token (AC, CM, TA and SE) you can buy exotic and salvage them for inscription, that can sell for a good profit (I usually do about 15-20 Gold per 2 000 dungeon token from inscription alone).
I hate to suggest this OP. But maybe it’s something to think about. Why do you want a Legendary? Why not just sell Dawn and all the other stuff, and make tons of gold to do with what you want? I know that’s what I’d do. Kind of interested to see what motivates someone to want a Legendary.

Kind of interested to see what motivates someone to want a Legendary.
1 – You will own a permanent best of its type of weapon (if a new tier of gear appear in the future it will be upgraded)
2 – Freedom of build, my ranger used to use Frostfang with dire stats in a trapper build, now I use as Zerker stats and it cost me nothing.
3 – The skin unlocks in the wardrobe and the weapon itself is acc bound (I use my Frostfang as Assassin stats in my Necro and also as Zerker in my Warrior)
4 – It looks cool
5 – If a new stats combo appear in the future, it will be available for you for free.

For me its for 4 reasons.
1) The looks. I go for legendary that I find awesome looking.
2) QoL : With the stats change and now the swapping between character. I can’t count how many time I used these feature and how many times I wanted to use them on ascended or extotic gear. Because what I want in the game change a lot over time.
3) A bit of Prestige. It was nice when people stopped you to talk about your cool looking greastword. Now it doesn’t happen anymore, but in my guild its a regular topic (we like to pat ourselves in the back ). We even have a ‘’Legendary Hall of Fame’’ just for fun.
4) I like to have this goal. I like the game, but without any goal (skin) i wouldn’t be playing PvE as much as I do right now. I would only play WvW and sPvP with my friends dragging me into PvE once in a while. Why? Because I spent 20 months in PvE. I’ve done it all. But when I have a goal and I play with my friend, then suddenly I still like to go in PvE, even for the same dungeon I did a thousand times. And what better goal in the long term than a Legendary.
As someone who has been playing for almost 2 year, Im starting from the bottom and slowly working on legendary. I think you are pretty good state OP, as having precursor is the hardest step from what my friend tells me. As for me, I dont even know where to start from as I have played for most of this time exclusively in sPvP and WvW.

Oh guys, thank you all for your answers ^-^
but calm down, everyone plays the way he/she prefers. There isn’t the “best way” but only the “better for you” way to do it.
At the moment i finded really good for me to farm in the crown pavillion for 3 reasons:
- thousands of bags
- 300 token = t6 bag = 3 t6 (i know this is a poor exchange rate but i really don’t want other things with tokens :S (and i already got my “endless dolyak calf” !!))
- karma farm (karma = obsidian shards = grow up your stack to 250 + more shards for extra clover try at forge = extra t6 !(or more useless clovers XD))
that is for me the best way to farm for a leggendary at moment…
note: am I, or today it is a really, really… really (and 30-50 more really later) luckless day? Today I salvaged 12 yellows for 0 globs of ectoplasm, i got 0 yellows/exotics from mobs/chest and thrown like 40 greens in the mistic toilet for 1 yellow … really? :<
