I know you can get classic ascended trinkets from Laurel merchants.

All new areas (bloodstone fen, siren’s landing, etc.) sell HoT ascended trinkets for the currency in each of those areas (I hear bloodstone might be easiest)

Raids also give currency for ascended trinkets

What other places if any, can a person get ascended trinkets? Which do you find to be cheapest/fastest?

I’m looking for viper trinkets and getting the blood rubies or fresh winterberries can be a real pain the butt when no players are around.

LS3 maps are the fastest.

I doubt you’ll find anything faster or easier than farming winterberries. You can even do that (albeit slowly) by doing the BFF dailies and saving up.

LS2 and HoT story achievements also give ascended trinkets. The stat selection is limited though… so I’d agree with the posters above… LS3 maps are pretty quick, especially if you use alts to farm.
