So, I’ve been gone from the game since mid March. I was just wondering what the fastest way to level nowadays is. Thanks for any tips!

Play the game. Levels come easily in pretty much any content.

I found eotm to be quite a fast way to level. You just follow a commander and levels come really quick.

Certainly Edge, use Exp boosters (remember the laureate one too, as it stacks), food and a utility buff and you’ll get fast exp. I’d recommend using the birthday booster but you won’t have this if your first char was made in March. I would get from 20-80 with the birthday booster and other things in about 8 or 9 hours.

Otherwise you could clear dungeons and swap to your low level alt before the end boss dies, but this is only really worth if it you’re doing dungeons anyway or your side in Edge isn’t doing very well. It’s also worth mentioning that some pugs aren’t happy with people swapping because it slows the whole team down and can be tricky in some circumstances, so you might want to ask them about it before you start.

I’d choose labyrinth over EotM at this time. It’s only today and (maybe?) tomorrow, but you can get really fast exp in there. Three weeks ago I leveled a character from 1 to 80 in EotM and last week I did one from 1 to 80 in the Halloween labyrinth, the lab was a lot faster.

You could do it a lot faster, as my goal wasn’t to level as fast as possible, I just played this char while farming the lab. Used EXP booster about half of the time and played with whatever gear I got from drops.

It’s weird how no one mentioned crafting. Crafting is the fastest but costs some gold unless you’ve got materials. I usually just go to Edge of The Mists. =)

Crafting can only net you 56 level at this time (unless you are going to go beyond 400 in crafts….which is quite expensive). If you have a LVL 20 birthday scroll lying about (veteran players only), then it’s not a bad option to get to 76 quickly.

With 50% Experience Booster, Killstreak Experience Booster, 30% Laureate Experience Booster, Birthday Booster, Guild Exp Banner, Guild +5% bonus, +15% Food consumable and +10% Utility consumable I was able to get 16 levels in 1 hour in the Labyrinth.

Really wanted to powerlevel that toon so it was totally worth the gold and even few laurels

Leveled two new characters 20-80 (used a level 20 scroll on each) in the Labyrinth last week. With boosts/banner buffs and a party, it’s insanely fast, and you also make a fair amount of money from the ToT bags.

Unfortunately it’ll be gone tomorrow. Your second best bet is EotM, if you can find a good map for ktraining.

Depends if you want to spend time or gold.

  • Cheaply: labyrinth → EotM → Map Completion → random exploration/playing.
  • Time efficiently: max cooking → max jeweler (or stop at 300) → artificing to 400 (or stop at 300) → leather to 300 → remaining crafts to 100.
