Guild Wars 2

Okay so everytime I talk to my friend about GW2 and the fact that I have both a mesmer and engineer, he is insisting that I should delete them now before going too much further as he thinks that both suck at higher levels and that I will be dying a lot. Now I am starting to think that maybe I should delete them and save myself the hassle. I really want to play these 2 classes but if he’s right, then I will delete them. So can anyone shed some light on this?

lol my buddy is an engineer and he completely destroys people in WvW lol nobody can ever catch him. I wouldn’t delete it. Your friend is just being a lame wad about making a new build that does better.

No class or profession sucks, what he says or anyone says is base on opinions. There’s so many trait builds and build paths to go just gotta find the right one. Every profession has a role in the game.

Also most importantly play what’s fun to YOU not necessarily what’s good or not.

The engineer is a really viable class and does a lot of DPS if you build him that way.. I see a lot of good engineers out there, and for the most part they are fun to play.. If you like playing a class you should just stick to it, just have fun with them.. and besides you can always create new ones, you have 5 character slots

Tell him to kitten. Play the classes you enjoy. And even if a class was underoowered at this point, it wont always be that way. Ive heard complaints that engies, mesm, eles, and necros are underpowered. Everyone will find something to complain about. I love my engy

I wouldn’t pay much attention to what he says. It’s just based on misinformation. Both classes do very well in game and you should play what you enjoy.

mesmers are awesome at high lvls, engineers are great support/ranged dps not to mention landmines and stuff
i think theyre fun and everyone that i know that has one loves them, id say keep your own council and dont delete them

Play what you like.

It’s your gaming experience, if you get to a certain level and decide you don’t like them, then reroll. But until then, enjoy what you enjoy.

Whats undesirable now will be considered OP tomorrow. From what I’ve experienced in every MMO that I’ve played over the years.

I have an 80 engineer, when I actually get on WvW I have no problems with the class. The mortar skill is amazing (though it’s a shame the range is so short)
