and I’d like advice on which server I should join? I want to be on server that isn’t dead and still has a good population. Also, are there any servers left where the starting areas are still active seeing as I don’t want to be all alone.

Stormbluff Isle has always been one of the most full servers, is always top 3 in NA for WvW and i always..repeat, always see players in low level zones. I am leveling my 5th character to 80, and even now I see players in zones. There are a few that people just dont go to because they arent that great, but the vast majority of them are teetering with people.

Just go for a very high population one, Tarnished Coast especially if you can find a time that its not full (which is difficult, I’ve been trying).

Tbh, even on Devonas Rest where I am, there’s a bunch of people in Queensdale all the time.

No, once you’re in the server you’re in there for good, there isn’t any queue times. TC is really the only on that’s full all the time except for prime time and WvWvW resets.

No the server isn’t that full lol, full has to do with player accounts on the server not actual people playing (though that is still under speculation).

Low level areas are populated Lv 40 – 70s areas are barren of players, and once most of the people playing are level 80 and standing in lions arch (main city).

Once you get into a server, you’ll never have to wait in a queue to get back on subsequent log-ins.

You can also freely transfer servers if you are unhappy with your choice (but not forever, this is for a unforeseen limited time). However, this is a week long cooldown before you can transfer again.

I also play on Tarnished Coast and love my server very much. Queensdale map chat gets questionable at times, but overall it’s a very active and friendly place. I mainly tag around Queens and Caledon, but have always seen other players in all the starting zones. It’s also the unofficial RP server, but RP is neither required nor enforced.

Ruins of Surmia is pretty alive and still not chokingly full. There are always some people to run around with starting from lvl 1 areas.
