Hi guys, do I have to be lvl 80 to find exotics? I know even a lvl 30 is able to get final rest from Shadow behemoth, but what if its an exotics that does not spawn at a specific place like final rest?

Oooookay, let’s start:

Thing, that you can get exotics from:
-dungeons: Buy your equip for dungeon tokens at the NPCs in Lion’s Arch.
-crafting: Level the professions you need for your gear to lvl 400. Then you can easily get a set of armor
-karma: Get about 250k karma together and buy a set of equip at the temple vendors in Orr.
-trading post: Simply buy your equipment.

Since you seem to be new to get game, I would recommend you either do dungeons and collect a bunch of tokens or you get a set of karma armor. That’s the cheapest way for new ppl to get theit hands on good equipment.

I would not rely that much on random drops, I dropped my first exotic about 300 hours after I hit level 80. Back in the “old days”, when the game just has started, I crafted myself a armor for about 5 gold But nowadays it’s way more expansive for some stat combos.

There is also completion of Mount Maelstrom, Frostgorge Sound, Straits of Devastation, Malchor’s Leap and Cursed Shore. That would give you a total of 10 exotics but it’ll be all random and none of them will be level 80.

As Khisanth says, I have found map completion in high-level zones to be one of the most reliable ways to get exotics – but you have no control over what they are. Items of exotic rarity can drop before you hit 80, and can be pitched at lower levels (in the 60-80 range, vaguely), but they won’t necessarily be max stats.
