Guild Wars 2

I just needed a little help understanding how to use a finisher. I don’t really understand how it works. I read it up on the wiki, but I did not understand the information. I am of course new to this game.

They are actual players.
In WvW you won’t be able to see the real name of the opponent, all you can see is “server” + “rank” + “guild tag”, something like “Backgate Knight [lol]”

You want to change your finisher or how to actually use it?

To change you go to your hero menu “H”, and the 2nd icon from the botton iirc is the finisher menu, then just click in activate the one you want/have and done.

To use it you need to be against a target in downed state, in PvP/WvW it is every time a player is downed, then just get close and press “F” (or whatever key is bind to “interact”), in PvE only a few specific mobs have downed stat, only some toxic and watchwork mobs have it, and then it will be just like in PvP.

Ok thank you. That’s what I was wondering. I could not understand what a downed state was since in PvE they just die.

One more question.

In WvWvW I was fighting I believe real people like myself, BUT they had default names, such as Defense Blank Blank and then 4 letters at the end of each name/title. Are these Enemy NPC or actual people playing?

Wow…that is just wow! I appreciate the help. I have played SO MANY MMO’s I think I finally found one I can stick with.
