Ello there!

So I’m mildly curious if anyone has figured out a way to make the game First-Person. Not over-the-shoulder or lets-stare-at-character’s-back mode. So uh…anyone?

I dont think there is a way to do that yet.
A believe ArenaNet did mention they will add it eventually though…

To be honest, I’m not 100% sure if it will help you during combat. I’m sure it’s helpful for Jumping puzzles though =)

Thanks for the info. I doubt it will help with combat at all. I’m almost positive it’ll make the game harder to play. But it’ll be new and possibly fun, and that’s worth the attempt to me.

There is a way to do that, but it’s 100% against the code of conduct and other rules they have. So don’t even try, you will get banned if you do it.

And how exactly is having the (Option) to play in first person view going to stop you playing in 3rd person? O.o silly…

It might be useful if you use ranged and want to aim manually. That is very difficult to do right now since your character blocks the target.

I’m used to playing games in first person view…I like seeing through the eyes of my character. It’s true, a lot of the game would be difficult to play that way, but I’d like to have the option

I always play the game manually with a warrior marksman. =)
