Guild Wars 2

Ill keep this short and sweet, this worked for me and a few others ive scoped around forums. make sure you completely exit guildwars 2 before this.

1) Go to windows start menu and type “CMD” to access the comman prompt
2) type: ipconfig /release
3) hit enter and wait for it to finish
4) when you can type again, type: ipconfig /renew
5) when it finishes, exit the command prompt
6) enjoy your game

Hmmz, I fail to see how getting a new IP-address fixes the issue with guild and chat.. :-/
I think that the restarting of the game (which you did in your procedure) yields the same results?

indeed, renewing your IP-adress is totally nonsense. First off all, its just changing your adress while this is obviously a server side issue. Secondly. Nowadays, most homes have broadband internet with a modem that also functions as a router. This means the ip address off your computer is a private ip adress leased to you from your home router. Changing that private IP adress has zero use.

I fixed it by logging out and logging back in.
