Fix your Mesmers!!!
Click on the crossed swords icon at the top of your screen and ‘Go to the Mists’. This brings you to the PvP Lobby where you can take an Asura Gate back to Lion’s Arch.
It won’t get you back to the area you were exploring, but at least it should get you out.

I allready got out just now. Someone said to use /stuck command, then i could teleport out.
This still needs to be fixed though… It’s not the first time it happened to me.
That skill doesn’t even work as it should most of the time. It’s supposed to teleport me backwards and leave a clone behind. Sometimes it just teleports me right where i’m standing. That’s really helpful. :/
Instead of joining the mists join WvW then log out to character select then log back in. It MAY help it may not.
I got this problem on my Guardian with Flashing Blade and a Thief friend with his Steal, basically you can get stuck in geometry. Fortunately for me, everytime I got this bug I was in a group so getting out wasn’t hard, just have one of your friends “call” a target, press T to acquire them and teleport out, while inside geometry you can’t target mobs so you can’t get out in any other way, so you can’t do it solo. Going to the Mists/WvW is the only other way.
Well, the /stuck command helps. From what the player in the game told me, it unlocks the waypoints so you can teleport to the nearest one when you’re inside the geometry.
That’s what i did at least. It may have just unlocked by itself, but i don’t know. Since the combat didn’t end, i doubt it would have let me teleport away without using that command.
But if that doesn’t work, it’s helpful to know other tricks. Thank you!
As good as the tricks may be though, that’s not the solution to the problem. ArenaNet needs to fix this. I use that Phase retreat a lot and it’s not fun when it bugs out. Not just teleporting into walls, but not teleporting away at all…
Idk, sometimes when i’m back against a wall it teleports me right where i’m standing, thus preventing being stuck in a wall, and other times, i’m in a wall. Then on the flat terrain it does the same thing. Sometimes it works as it should (i get to escape the hit when timed correctly), and other times i teleport to where i’m standing when there’s absolutely nothing behing me preventing the retreat.
Weird bug…
