Hi,
I`v never done a complete fractal (that means 3/4 dungeons?). My play time is limited and often fragmented.

I wanted to check this one more time, because I would not want to miss on this part of GW2:

How much time does a run takes? (compared to AC / TA / CoF p2)
Is ‘a run’ composed of more than one dungeon?
What happens if I just do 2 dungeons and then I have to leave?

-How much time does a run takes? (compared to AC / TA / CoF p2)-
A run can take 30 minutes but can also take up to 3 hours depending on the group, the fractals and the difficulty level.

-Is ‘a run’ composed of more than one dungeon?-
1 FoTM run consists of 3 fractals on odd levels and a bonus fractal on even levels.

-What happens if I just do 2 dungeons and then I have to leave?-
You get a bonus of fractal relics on each fractal. If you beat all 3 fractals your level increases if the level you chose is equal or above yours.
If you do runs on even numbers and finish all 4 you get a daily bonus and bonus fractal relics as well as having your level increase by 1.

Depending on the team, the level and the combination of fractals you get I would say that a run can be, on average, anywhere from 50mins – 2hrs. Less then an hour would be a very smooth run (in my experience) and I have been stuck in there for closer to 3 hours if your team is inexperienced or not communicating very well.

A run is composed of either 3 or 4 fractals (mini dungeons). Depending on the level your group decides to do, odd levels will give 3 fractals and even will give 3 fractals and then the 4th is a bonus level (alwaya fighting the Jade Maw).

If you choose to leave before the final fractal is complete you will walk away with any loot, fractal relics and experience you have collected up to that point but you will not advance your overall personal fractal level and you will not get any bonus chest (given daily for completing an even level fractal). You should also warn your group up front if it is likely that you will have to leave early.

Hi, there are two types of dungeons.

Fractals and regular(story and explorable) dungeons.

A full fractal run is comprised of 3 fractal maps each. They take anywhere from 20 minutes to 30 or 35 each. If you are running on an “even numbered” fractal(level 2,4,6,8,etc) you get a bonus one that can take 15-20 minutes.

Dungeon runs depend on the dungeon. COF path 1 takes 15 minutes for most groups. Arah(forgot which path) takes 1.5 hrs.

Fractals can take more than 35 minutes. I never got out of a 20+ run in less than 2 hours 30 minutes.

Bad groups then. I think Im at level 25 or something..somewheres in the 20s. They still don’t take that long for me. Normally, most groups will reroll the first map for swamp and get that first one done in under 10 minutes. The last fractal I ran was swamp, cliffside, and colossus. Probably no more than 1 hour 15 minutes or so to complete.

Yeah we never reroll simply because we had no luck with rerolling (takes too long to get swamp and half the group leaves)
However we always got through very smoothly without the need of retrying.
