The followers list is supposed to be for people who have added you to their contact list but you have not added them, but lately new people I met, I have added and they have been instantly added to my contact list. Is this bugged or are people just really, really fast at adding me back? Every time I look at it, it’s blank.

You slightly misunderstand how it works. When you add someone to your Friends list, they just go to your friends list; the other person doesn’t have to accept anything for that to happen. If they don’t choose to add you, then you’ll appear in THEIR Followers list, but they’ll still be in YOUR Friends list. If some random person added you to their Friends list without you adding them, they’d appear in your Followers list.

There is a way actually, it’s just not in your face. If you hover over someone in your friends list, it gives you some information. If they don’t add you as a friend, then it only shows a couple details – the account name, (character name if logged in?,) and online status. If they have added you, you can also see the character level and class – there’s more information if you’ve been added by them.

Sure you will. Anyone who you have friended is on your main friend list. Anyone who has friended you is on your followers list. They are separate sets that can contain overlap but neither list requires being on the other. So if you want to know who’s added you, look at your followers list, that’s them.

They don’t show up on both lists though – if you’ve friended them, they show up on the main list whether or not they friended you – otherwise, my followers list would be much, much longer.
